Glenn Jennings, 71, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2012, at the Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Staib officiating and burial at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Hospital or to the First Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Glenn was born on December 31, 1940, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to John Jennings and Hazel (Bitner) Jennings.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963.
Mr. Jennings was plumber and a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Local # 160. He had, also, retired from Menard Correctional Center. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, he was a Shriner, and he was a member of the Elk’s Lodge and the American Legion Post # 127.
Glenn is survived by two sisters and two brother in laws Joann and Max Sullivan of Glen Carbon, IL and Charlotte and George Knecht of Kimberling City, MO; lots of nieces and nephews; and the Korando family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
