Cedarville Edward C. Dotzel, 76, of Cedarville, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at his home in Cedarville. Born June 28, 1936 in Shullsburg, Wisconsin he was the son of Robert J. and Loretta L. (Winter) Dotzel. He married Rose L. Lalley in March of 1965. He served with the U.S. Marines between 1953 and 1955. He received the Good Conduct medal of National Defense. Ed worked for Civil Construction for 22 years. He was a volunteer for the Cedarville Fire Department. Ed was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and RV travel. Surviving is his wife Rose, of Cedarville; his daughter, Kathy (Arlen) Busser of Lena; his sons, Edward (Naomi) Dotzel of Orangeville and Albert Beuth of Freeport; his brother, Deneen (Fran) Dotzel of Topeka, Kansas; his grandchildren, Amanda Busser of Lena, Nate Busser of Freeport, Joe (Fiancé, Dana Comstock) VanBrocklin of Chicago, and Joshua Dotzel of Orangeville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Walker Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Walker Mortuary. Following the service cremation rites will be accorded. Entombment of his cremated remains will be in the Oakland Cemetery &Mausoleum. A memorial has been established.
