Jane Kirkbride Jones passed away January 4, 2016 in her home in rural Pana. Edith Jane was born May 16, 1919, the daughter of the late Samuel & Besse Mae Parkinson Kirkbride. She was born and raised on the family farm where she lived her entire life of 96 years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor. A wonderful homemaker, Jane was an excellent cook and shared so many good homemade dishes. She also enjoyed life on the farm raising chickens, gardening, and working side by side with Noel. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and volunteer work, especially for the Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary and Bazaar. She was a very active lady and loved a good game of pinochle. Jane was a member of Pana First United Methodist Church. Edith Jane Kirkbride and Noel P. Jones were united in holy matrimony on November 20, 1943 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Noel passed on October 21, 2008. Jane is survived by her son Daryl Jones, Pana, daughters Barbara Jones, Georgetown and Noela (Mike) Bruns, Shelbyville; grandchildren: Michael (Shiloh) Jones, Rogers, AK, Chelsea (Brian) Iott, Petersburg, MI, Aaron (Becky) Bruns, Shelbyville and Daniel Bruns, Shelbyville; great grandchildren: Brady & Addison Jones, Rogers, AK, Shylee & Kaydance Iott, Petersburg, MI, Karson, Carter & Kaleb Bruns, Shelbyville and Joel & Miranda Bruns, Shelbyville. Jane was also preceded in death by her grandson Brian Jones.
