    Charles W. “Chuck” Yard, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice. Born March 21, 1934 in Logansport, Indiana, Chuck was the son of the late George S. and Paulina M. (Baker) Yard Sr. Chuck was educated in Morris schools. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1956. On July 20, 1955, Chuck married Genevieve I. Oliver in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, with the ceremony presided by Monsignor Rawlins. With his wife and family, Chuck returned to Morris in 1956 to make it their home. She was born May 1, 1931, in Bonfield, the daughter of George and Etta Arthur Arnold. Dorothy loved quilting and reading. She loved her dog Babe, and her grand-dog named Baby Girl. She had retired from working at Little Fuse in Watseka.
