William G. Holley, 85 of Maroa, IL passed away June 27, 2015 at his home in Maroa, IL.
Memorial services will be 12 p.m. Noon Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL with military honors. Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL.

Bill was born February 1, 1930 to Ancel and Lillie (Gentry) Holley in Decatur, IL. He married Barbara Masters May 29, 1976 in Decatur, IL.
His special family included two step-daughters: Marsha (Jack Hershfelt) Spaulding and Ellen (Paul) Bolin; two granddaughters: Megan (Kurt) Laker and Jessica (Jeremy) Brown; four great grandchildren: Clark, Elise, Evelyn and Finley; brother: Joe Holley; sisters: Judy Walker and Janet (Tom) Gordon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Imogene.
Bill was employed at Wagner Casting in Quality Assurance for forty years. He served in the Army during the Korean War and as a Maroa City Councilman for nearly twenty years. He was a member of the Lion’s Club, V.F.W., Korean War Veterans and the Land of Lincoln Honor Flights, Inc. Bill had a
beautiful heart. He was a very positive and interesting man with a great love of gardening, Maroa-Forsyth Football, the Cardinals, the city of Maroa and especially his family.
