Carole Jean Graesser

Carole Jean Graesser, 81, of Naples, FL and Inverness, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 20, 2018. Born in St.Louis, MO, she was the daughter of George and Alma (nee Reimer) Niewald. Carole was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL helping to bake for and serve PADS meals in the summer and an active member of Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church in Naples where she proudly assisted in services, participated in Bible study, helped to make beautiful quilts, sang in a quartet and served on Council among various other activities including the “brunch bunch”! Carole kept her nursing license up to date until just a few years ago as she was very proud of her profession. Music, needlepointing and serving her church were very important activities. She treasured her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Carole is survived by her children Corey (Steve) Urback, Lynda (Rob) Eckardt and Daniel Graesser; her grandchildren Lonni, Leo, Alyssa, Amber, Robbie and Amy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and godchildren who were so very special to her. She was predeceased by her husband Paul (Dutch) Graesser. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 24th at 2pm at Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church, 6020 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113. A memorial service will also be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 South Quentin Road, Palatine, IL 60067 on Friday June 29th at 10:30am. Memorial gifts may be directed in her name to either Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church or All Saints Lutheran Church or JourneyCare Foundation at www.journeycare.org .
