Mary Louise Barnett, 95, of Winchester died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at the Scott County Nursing Center in Winchester. She was born, Sept. 12, 1922, the daughter of Bert and Estella Leitze Todd. She married Kenneth E. Barnett, Feb. 1, 1947, in Lynville. He preceded her in death, Sept. 13, 1997.
She is survived by daughters, Kathryn Baldwin of Alsey and Linda (Robert) White of Normal; six grandchildren, Heather McEvers, Heath Baldwin, Dave Barnett, Rebecca Barnett, Jennifer Barnett Moore and Heather White Pratt; eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren with one more arriving in October. Preceding her in death was son, David Barnett; son-in-law, Jack Baldwin; two sisters, Bess Swarringim and Lorene Dobson; and two brothers, Jess and Ed Todd.
Mary worked for many years at the Roodhouse Dress Factory, as a member of the ILGWU. She was a member of the Alsey Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Scott County Nursing Center for the care they gave Mary during her last years.
A graveside service will be held, 2:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at the Glasgow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Scott County Nursing Center or the Alsey Baptist Church.
