Jo Ann Gorsich, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018, at her home. She was born on September 19, 1938 to Meredith Cooper Ward and Laura Strasma Ward, and they preceded her in death. She married Robert Lee Gorsich on January 16, 1960, and he survives.

She is survived by her husband, four children: Robert (Naomi) Gorsich, Jr. of Queen Creek, AZ, Toni Marie Miller of Springfield, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gorsich of New Berlin, and Steven (Peggy) Gorsich of Mt. Pleasant, MI; ten grandchildren: Brittany, Jake, Austin, Luke, Cori, Abigail, Nicholas, Payton, Jaxon and Gabriel, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jo Ann was employed by Bell Telephone and the Illinois State Department of Revenue. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Dodger’s fan, an avid collector of dolls, doll houses, lighthouses and villages, and she was an admirer of Princess Diana. She loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ginger Lee Ward, and her dog, Bingo. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
