Delilah E. Felber, 94, of Springfield, died at 7:02 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born January 28, 1924 in Springfield, to Harry and Maude Louise Dengler Dougherty. She married Paul Felber in 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 1988.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Louise Constant of Springfield and John Gallagher of Albuquerque, NM and special friend, Sheila Shirk of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Rezien and John Dougherty and one sister Aida Gallagher.
Delilah was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She loved to dance to Polka music with her husband and was a member of P.O.L.K. of A.. She worked for the State of Illinois as a Data Processor for thirty five years and previously had worked at Fiat Allis.
Visitation: 9 – 10 am, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with
Reverend Dr. Blythe Denham Kieffer officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
