Alfred O. Johnson, 97, of Yorkville, IL, passed away at his home on February 18th, 2019. Alfred was born on November 26, 1921 in Kendall County, IL to John and Caroline (Olson) Johnson.
He proudly served in the U.S Army during WWII and then married his wife, Helen, in 1948. Alfred was a jack of all trades and enjoyed whatever hobby he was into at that point in his life. He loved being outdoors and was always keeping busy whether it was in his career as an electrician/linesman or in his retired years doing side jobs for people he knew.
Alfred is survived by his children, Marie (Dennis) Stuebinger and Jim (Terry) Johnson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Eleanor Fairless; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen (Mindar) Johnson; his son, Martin Johnson; his grandson, Russell Stuebinger Sr; his brothers, Harold (Nellie) Johnson, Gene (Lillian) Johnson; his sister, Elise (Richard) Lage; his nephew, Greg Lage; and his niece, Betty Bolger.
The family will be having a private memorial service Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
