Daniel J. Wojcik, age 40, of Gilbert, Arizona, formerly of Illinois, died August 6, 2020 of Stage 4 Colon cancer.
Dan was born July 8, 1980 in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Bonnie and Daniel. He lived in Illinois from his birth until March 2016 when his family moved to Arizona.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Dinah Wojcik; his adored children, Bennett, Carter, Jackson and Lilah; his mother Bonnie (Mike) Stroh; 3 sisters, Jessica Ammons, Kristina Borowiak and Renee Dohn; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his father, the late Daniel Wojcik; his grandparents, the late Cyril and Noreen Wojcik and the late John and Dorothy Rapshus.
Dan was loved. He was a man of character, integrity, loyalty, and hope. He was constant and genuine in all he did. He loved hard and true to all he knew. He was easy going and confident. He had a way with people and those who came around him felt his humble approach. He was an all or nothing kind of guy there were no grey areas, and above all a fighter. He could tell stories and created the most crazy insane stories of his own, he could remember vivid details in time, and talk anyone into buying anything -the man could sell. He was a provider for his family and never stopped up until two weeks before his passing. Dan was a cancer warrior and our real-life hero. He is irreplaceable and he will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Gathering, open to the public, will be held Friday, August 21, 2020, from 4-9 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
