Richard E. Falash, Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 78, of Villa Park, IL passed away peacefully on October 4, 2020. He was born September 14, 1942 in Waukegan, IL to the late Richard E. Sr. and the late Esther (nee Jennings) Falash, who preceded him in death.
Richard is survived by his 5 children, Richard (Donna) Falash of Addison, IL, Anthony Falash of Lake in the Hills, IL, Joseph Falash of Rockford, IL, Nancy (Marc) Rowe of Villa Park, IL, and Mary Ann (Robert) Del Santo of Crystal Lake, IL. He was a loving grandfather to his 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Madeline, Rebecca, Emily, Chloe, Joseph Jr., Marcus Jr., Karman, Catherine, Robert Jr., and Jacob; as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Cecilia and Patrick. He is also survived by a sister, Regina (William) Langer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, the late Nancy nee Nutley; and his siblings, the late Joan(Rex) Norris and the late Mary Lou (Herbert) Alwardt; and 2 daughters-in-law, the late Samantha Falash and the late Laura Falash.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at K & R Delivery for over 30 years. In retirement, he enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, crime and mystery shows.
Friends and family can celebrate his life at a visitation on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard, IL 60148. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 8 with Prayers at 9:45 AM at the funeral home and processing to St. Alexander’s Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park, IL 60181 for 10:15 AM Mass. Interment immediately following mass at Lakewood Memorial Park, 30W730 Highway 20, Elgin, IL 60120.
