She was preceded in death by her two great grandmothers, Odessa “Grandma” Lawrence and Mary “Mammie” Ward, great grandfather; King Solomon Adams Sr. grandfather; Wesley Jackson Sr. and one special aunt; Latrecha Francine Crumble. Portia attended school in District 189 and later transferred to Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, MO. She was an honor student and enjoyed creative writing.     Sweet Jean Holden passed away in St. Louis surrounded by family. She was the mother of eight:Tom, Jeff, Bill (deceased), Kevin, Colin, Cindy, Matt, and Jackie. She was the grandmother of many grand and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
